#BRINGYOURFIRE is MTN Bushfire’s call to action, encouraging the proactive contribution of the individual towards igniting positive social change. ‘Your fire’ is your energy, your spirit, your passion and your drive to make a positive difference.

The BRING YOUR FIRE ZONE is a physical manifestation of the  #BRINGYOURFIRE call to action.

An interactive and creative space located at the very heart of the main festival arena, the BRING YOUR FIRE ZONE brings the call to action to life through discussions and talkshops around pertinent social issues.

The space actively encourages participation around socially responsible initiatives and promotes advocacy in an interactive environment.

Focus areas in this space are:

• Minority Rights & Gender Diversity
• Environmental Sustainability
• Education
• Sexual and Reproductive Health
• Sustainable Development
• Equality & Empowerment
• Entrepreneurship
• Child Social Protection

Within the Zone, various partners and festival goers actively engage with the festival mandate by making their personal contribution towards fulfilling the festival’s commitment to encouraging social development and environmental sustainability throughout the festival and beyond.

This space also inspires collective responsibility in amplifying the crucial issues that impact our daily lives, as well as our future both locally and globally.

MTN Bushfire is currently accepting applications from applications from artists, community-based organizations, NGOs and IGOs who are interested in activating in the BRING YOUR FIRE ZONE.

Simply send an activation proposal to projectmanager@site.bush-fire.com before the 8 February 2020. Shortlisted applicants will be notified a week after the deadline and invited to a meeting to discuss their activation plans.
