The Collab is the next exciting event on the MTN Bushfire 2021 Digital Series programme, a one-of-a-kind musical collaboration between two top regional artists that will be live-streamed on 27^th August.

The second edition to the MTN Bushfire 2021 Digital Series, The Collab features one of Eswatini’s hottest Afro-Soul exports – multiple award-winning musician, singer and songwriter Sands – as he teams up with a soon-to-be-revealed collaborative partner to create an entirely new song.

Sandziso “Sands” Matsebula is known for captivating listeners with his thought-provoking lyrics, encouraging people to simply enjoy the interplay of imagination, rhythm and creativity, and this collaboration will be no exception.

“This is a great opportunity for me to create something new and special during these challenging Covid times,” said Sands, adding “I’m really looking forward to working with such a talented artist.”

Fans will be able to follow the physical and creative journey as Sands travels from Eswatini to Cape Town to meet his soon-to-be-revealed collaborative partner, on all MTN Bushfire social media platforms. MTN Bushfire is excited to be able to facilitate unique, dynamic content in a time of limited opportunities for artists to work together across borders.

The Collab will be streamed for free on multiple digital and broadcast platforms. It will be accompanied by a small invite-only Exclusive Fan Zone at the iconic entertainment venue House On Fire, with a live performance and Q&A session with the artists. All Covid-19 protocols and regulations will be adhered to.

Tickets to the Exclusive Fan Zone will not be for sale, but fans have the opportunity to Guess the mystery artist and stand a chance to win a ticket to The Collab Exclusive Fan Zone in the “Guess The Artist” competition being run on all MTN Bushfire social media platforms from today!

MTN Eswatini will be offering discounted data Bushfire Bundles for The Collab during the week leading up to the live-stream event.

MTN Bushfire has announced new dates for the rest of the MTN Bushfire 2021 Digital Series events. The Arts Round Table artist empowerment workshop is now scheduled for 18^th September, while the MTN Bushfire 2021 Digital Festival will be streamed on 24^th September.
